Jihyun is an accomplished flautist, has performed at various prestigious concert venues around the world and at international music festivals, as a soloist and with renowned orchestras. These include concert venues such as Carnegie Hall (New York) and the Royal Albert Hall (London).
As an orchestral musician, Jihyun was principal flute in the National Youth Chamber Orchestra of Great Britain for two years and was selected to perform with the Aurora Orchestra in the BBC Proms Festival at the Royal Albert Hall, conducted by Nicolas Collon. She has also worked with conductors such as Paul Mann, David Hill, Peter Stark and Bernard Haitink.

She holds a Master of Music from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and a Bachelor of Music from the Royal College of Music in London. She has also completed several Masterclasses with leading flautists and top instructors from the global music scene such as William Bennett, Paul Edmund-Davies, Andrea Oliva and Emmanuel Pahud.

JIhyun creates colourful, unique programming with academic ideas and got selected as Ensemblian's house concert series artist.
